How and Why I Became A REALTOR®
I was born and raised in Johnson County, Indiana and have spent most of my life living here. I went to Purdue University and after college, moved to the northwest suburbs of Chicago with my husband. While I enjoyed my time there, I always hoped to return to my roots in Indiana. In 2018, my husband and our daughter moved back to Indiana and settled in Center Grove. I immediately took the courses and got my license to become an Indiana REALTOR®. This was something I had always wanted to do, as I grew up with two parents who are also REALTORs® and loved the job.
I chose this career because I find it deeply meaningful to help people either find the place they will call home or help them sell what is often the biggest investment of their lives. Buying or selling a home is a major milestone—both emotionally and financially—and my goal is to make that process as positive and stress-free as possible.
My strengths lie in my people skills and my genuine care for my clients' needs. I understand the importance of this decision, and I'm committed to guiding them for as long as it takes, ensuring they never feel rushed or pressured. Whether they are touring homes, reviewing contracts, or weighing options, I want them to feel comfortable, informed, and supported every step of the way. Being part of such a significant moment in someone's life is an honor, and I strive to help make it an exciting and memorable experience. As a REALTOR® with CENTURY 21 Scheetz, I'm proud to provide my clients with industry-leading tools, resources, and marketing strategies to give them every advantage in today's market.
More About Me
I absolutely love living in Central Indiana. Although I live on the southside and enjoy being part of that community, I find myself constantly exploring and frequently traveling all around the area. One of the things I appreciate most about Indianapolis and its surrounding towns is their incredible growth. Growing up here, it has been a joy to watch our local food scene expand so much. My husband and I love trying new restaurants, and we think nothing of driving over an hour for a meal that sounds exciting. To us, being "foodies" just means we have a deep appreciation for great flavors and we get just as excited about a hidden gem "mom and pop" spot as we do about a high end, James Beard-nominated restaurant.
That sense of exploration extends to my family time as well. In the summer, my daughter and I love to go on "park crawls," where we spend the day visiting various playgrounds and parks across several different towns (and typically a scoop or two of ice cream or a sno-cone truck if we happen to see one). It’s also been wonderful to see how so many of our communities have worked to revitalize their downtowns, creating cozy, beautiful atmospheres that make each stop unique. Towns like Avon, Beech Grove, Carmel, Franklin, Greenwood, Noblesville, Plainfield, Speedway, and Zionsville (sorry if I forgot a town or maybe have a new one to discover) have done such a beautiful job maintaining that small town charm. It’s been equally great to see the continued growth of areas like Broad Ripple, Fountain Square, and Mass Ave, which bring such a rich, unique energy to our city.
When I have some free time, I love making the most of everything our corner of Indiana has to offer. My days off are usually a blend of local favorites like hiking the trails at Fort Harrison State Park and maybe a followed by lunch at Fitzgerald’s, or enjoying a walk through Eagle Creek Park in hopes of spotting the river otters that just came back last year! My mom and I might take the Monon Trail from Carmel City Center to their downtown area for a glass of wine at Wine & Rind. We also love a family day in Fishers for TopGolf and an afternoon at The Yard, or visiting Urban Vines in Westfield where mom and dad can have some snacks & a drink while our daughter can play on their playground. I still love the nostalgia of grabbing Monical’s Pizza in Avon, as it reminds me of their Lafayette location I fell in love with when I was at Purdue. I love taking my daughter to Nine Lives Cat Café in Fountain Square so she can cuddle some kitties, or our family catching a movie at Living Room Theaters on Mass Ave. Of course, I also love staying local on the southside to enjoy the vibrant summer festivals in Franklin, live music in downtown Greenwood, or a relaxing afternoon at Mallow Run or one of their summer concerts at night.
For me, real estate isn't just about houses; it's about the lifestyle and the wonderful communities that make Central Indiana such a special place to live. I love where I live and I want my clients to feel the same way too.
